Alienware M14x vs Macbook Pro 15?

I am currently looking for a new laptop to replace my Dell Inspiron E1505 and have come to the conclusion that i would like to get either the Alienware M14X or the Macbook Pro 15. This isn't an argument of mac vs pc. i have used both OSs and appreciate what each have to offer. This is simply deciding which laptop is better for me. I am in college so i will be using it for school work (essays, powerpoints, ect.) but i also like to do video, photo, and music editing. I am not a huge computer gamer, but do play some non-FPS games on computer (Starcraft, Diablo 2, Portal, etc.). I understand that most people will say that both are overpriced but i have looked at these and like what they have to offer. My spending limit is around $2500.
