Legalizing Cannabis-Should the U.S.?

We need to legalize all drugs for numerous reasons, but mainly because prohibition has been a total failure that has only made the problem worse and is endangering the lives of not only drug addicts but also destabilizing entire countries throughout the world leading to more death and suffering than the banned substances. History has shown mandatory minimum sentences do not work, what does is doing your best to teach about the dangers and providing treatment services to those in need...he proof of this is in our cutting of rates of cigarette smokers not by incarceration but through education.
