Computer speakers CRACKLE with or without sound.?

Do you have a headphone and try to plug it in the speakers of the soundcard?...Try that...if the headphones pops and crackle the same thing as the speakers, then your soundcard is hooped. If not then your speakers are gone. You can buy a new set.
